My Fantastic Future

Yes,
I'm a dreamer.
I dream more than I do.
For instance,
I like to dream up my future home.
How it will look,
What kind of parent I will be...
I like to dream up a perfect husband.
Who that will be,
I don't know.
But his standards will be high,
He will never be afraid to laugh,
He will make me laugh.
And I hope that I can be a perfect mother to my children.

So, let's get on with this and make this interesting.
I'm going to own a blue farmhouse:)
You know why?
It feels like home.
And even though I have never lived in a blue house,
I really would like to.

There you have my dream home on the outside.
Pretty huh?
I especially like the trim work on it.
It is quite charming:)

Now for the inside...
I am going to be an awesome parent.
If you have ever seen The Chronicles of Narnia, you will love what my kids playroom will look like:)
I found this idea on Pinterest, and fell in love with it.
I might decorate a bit differently than they did,
But never the less,
It is a wonderful idea still.

Sorry for the size and quality of this picture,
But you get the drift:)
If I ever get my dreamhome,
It will definently have a wardrobe to Narnia.
Also,
In my house I won't be afraid to add thick trim.
It's amazing what trimwork does for a room:)

Now I will tell you the goal I came up with when I was a sixth grader:
Every picture in my home will be gospel related.
I want my children to live in a home filled with the spirit,
And gospel pictures have always helped me feel that spirit.
Make sense?

I also want to decorate my home unique enough that my children will look back and remember how cool their home was as a kid.

My piano teacher's home is very delightful.
It's a cute little green farmhouse,
But has a craftsman style to it.
The inside is as cute as the outside.
It is full of fun colors,
and random furniture.
I think every week I go to her house her couch is in a different place.
It is quite interesting!
But it sure sounds like something that I would do.

Before I get my dream home,
I will need to go to college.
I would very much like to go into teaching.
My dream job is to be a 6th grade english teacher.
My 6th grade english teacher was the best teacher I have ever had,
And I would like to become as good as she was.
My classroom would be so cute:)
I can imagine it now...
Don't you think it is so boring when teachers put up the same old boring signs and posters as all of the other teachers?
I'm going to make my room inviting.
That way,
Students will want to venture into my cave of learning:)
Let me show you what kind of stuff I would like in my cave of learning.
Everyone will be familiar with the Hungry Caterpillar poem... If you haven't read it, do!
It is adorable! It is meant for younger kids, but I could incoorporate the writers art in the book with writing.
Everyone in my class will read The Lorax. It is the cutest story ever!
A Dr. Suess theme would be so cute for a classroom. I mean, what's not to like? Don't you just get all happy when you walk into a bright colored room?:)
This is the most adorable kid's bookshelf of my life:)
And cute stuff like this for my desk:)

So, hopefully I will marry a rich guy, because my teaching career most likely won't pay for my dream home.
Whatever!:)
Keep dreaming my friends.
-Alexis
